Amazon backs Ariane with rocket launch orders as Europe battles to close its space gap

Amazon has brought its total launches from Europe's Arianespace to 24 as it builds out its satellite network to challenge SpaceX's Starlink. European governments are increasing spending on sovereign space capabilities and private companies are raising hundreds of millions of euros to scale their businesses.
